The Midland City Forest allows horseback riding on any of their cross-country ski trails. The forest is made up of 520 acres, currently has about 10 miles of groomed ski trails, and is sprayed regularly during the summer for mosquitoes. The parking lot is on Monroe Road between North Eastman and Sturgeon Roads (north of the Midland Fair Grounds). Please stay off the mountain-biking trails and clean up any manure your horse deposits in the parking lot so we can continue to enjoy the City Forest on horseback.
